Our company owner, James Palmer, started working as a sole trader on small local building contracts back in 2001, eagerly soaking up experience and expertise, with the goal of eventually putting together a team and managing his own bespoke projects, focussing on extending and development.
A quarter of a century later James has realised his ambition and heads up a team of skilled and experienced trade and crafts people – the business having grown organically through word of mouth and reputation.
It’s easy for us to love and cherish historic buildings, based as we are in the village of Shrewton on Salisbury Plain which dates back to medieval times. The majority of our work is carried out in the villages and hamlets dotted along the valleys around the city of Salisbury, shaped by chalk river systems, which abound with historic architectural treasures.
James shares his passion for old buildings with his wife, Erika, who is working towards her professional qualification in Residential Surveying and Property Valuation with the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors). She also manages Listed properties including a Medieval timber framed building dating back to the 16th Century.
